What a great idea about changing the color on all the overused phrases so I can spot them easily and change them!Valerie Kemphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01664186778812993543noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5740020593647189165.post-37745341703611169942009-12-30T22:58:18.512-05:002009-12-30T22:58:18.512-05:00Beth - I didn't know about the Wordle thing so...Beth - I didn't know about the Wordle thing so I'm definitely going to try that!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05255908019822363456noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5740020593647189165.post-71949946678258247832009-12-30T20:41:37.434-05:002009-12-30T20:41:37.434-05:00Oh, I do that *all* the time. I really have to watch out for those.

One thing I did, was use Wordle to figure out which phrases like that I overused (I overuse "as if" more than "seemed like" but it's the same concept), then made all those instances bold, red, and underlined using Word. After printing, and seeing the huge, bold phrases over and over again on page after page, I was really able to cut them down.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11431700962951592287noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5740020593647189165.post-6256796015425927722009-12-30T15:32:23.268-05:002009-12-30T15:32:23.268-05:00If something comes up, I'll let you know.
